The Place for Second Hand Vinyl Records in Dorset
Clocktower Records offer both new second hand vinyl records of all types and styles. We are based in the Art & Vintage Quarter of Bridport’s Historic Industrial Heritage area.
Bridport Dorset is the gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline and a major tourist attraction.
In addition there are many reasons for families to visit the area for days out or longer stays with Bridport’s twice weekly Street Market and Art & Vintage Quarter with some businesses open every day, Bridport Harbour at West Bay, the closeness of Roman and Ancient history sites in Dorchester and surrounds.
The seaside fun of Weymouth, the adventure of exploring Portland, visiting the picturesque and photograph inspiring Lyme Regis or Fossil hunting in Charmouth attracts many to the area.
All these great fun activities are available to all the family while the record fans escape to Clocktower Records, beware we believe Tripadvisor recommends a few hours here haha.

We pretend to ‘have a quick look’, but it is a wallow in nostalgia: « My nan had one of those radios » - for the reconditioned as Bluetooth speakers vintage radios « I used to love the Seekers/Whitesnake/The Jam » - when spying an old album section « Look at this beautiful album cover! » - Motown albums, 70s artwork We never leave with nothing and vow to return for a speaker radio next time or a trip of albums just to hang on the wall! Comfy sofas to relax and read vintage music mags and listen to albums you might want to buy. There is nothing not to love about Clocktower Music. Vinyl Saturday Record Fair – Every Saturday is like Vinyl Saturday!
Clocktower Records first opened in 2015, evolving from a Bridport market stall in 2005 and the creation of Vinyl Saturday Record Fair in 2007. As a result, the record fair was subject of a number of editorials and voted Record Fair of the Year by a National magazine as being part of the earliest adapters and rebranding records as Vinyl.
Whilst the Vinyl Saturday fair is now run by others, its still a great day out browsing the fair and searching the street market and charity shops for records, cds, cassettes and music memorabilia alongside your visit to the Clocktower Records. Therefore Bridport is regarded as a great place to grab bargains on second hand vinyl records.
Fun of Browsing for Second Hand Vinyl Records
Roy opened the shop in St Michaels Art & Vintage Quarter to revive the lost fun of physically browsing records of all genres. Our prime objective was for customers to stumble upon records they had not seen before or had forgotten. Our fun logo reflects the excitement of being probably the best record shops in the Galaxy.
We achieved this by not selling records online. Instead, making the shop a destination where customers can personally check the condition of rare vinyl records. Our approach has attracted many vinyl sellers, resulting in high stock turnover. We recognise what our customers look for and we ensure the excellent condition of both record and sleeve. This combined with offering competitive pricing compared to the internet and other record shops, has kept our customers returning.
