Eve Appleton Band Shortlisted for Green Man Rising

The Green Man Rising

We are proud at Clocktower Records to hear that a favorite local musician from Bridport has been shortlisted for the coveted Green Man Rising competition.

The Green Man Rising event is an annual band competition all about finding headliners of the future. The worthy winner will bag a place on the line-up, record a live session & showcase their music to top music industry maestros?

The Final
The 20 remaining will be shortlisted to 5 all of whom perform in the online final! Each act gets a video session, recorded in Cardiff, which then goes to a panel of expert judges who crown the winner.

Previous judges have been from Domino Records, Moshi Moshi, Beggars, Bella Union, Creative Artist Agency, William Morris, Speedy Wunderground, Heavenly Recordings, BBC Radio, Communion, Guardian Music and our very own Green Man.

We are proud to see Eve Appleton, who had strong local roots in Bridport, and is a regular at our events has been shortlist to the top 20 from thousands of entries.

Eve is a 21yr old songwriter and poet of modern progressive folk music.

She is based in Bristol, but born, raised and steeped in the waters, woods and hills of West Dorset. Bridport being her home town before moving to Bristol.

Eve can be seen often in Bridport playing in places such as the Woodman, Lyric Theatre and busking in Bucky Doo Square.  Of course we are always pleased to have Eve playing in our events at Clocktower Records along with her talented band. You can listen to her voice for hours and her song writing is absolute up there!

Eve said “We’re in the final 20 of Green Man rising with a record number of entries this year! As someone who’s been going since a baby since it started at Baskerville hall and every year since then, this is a huge and crazy step for us so please vote to help us get there.”

We want to support Eve on her journey and encourage all our customers and friends to vote Eve and her band through to the Final in a couple of weeks time.
